Real teaching practice
is where it's at.
The most vital part of any TEFL/TESOL
certificate course is the observed teaching
practice and we offer you more than any other
training school: between eight and twelve hours,
depending on the trainee’s ability, making our
approach to learning strictly “hands-on”. If you
are serious and wish to become a good teacher,
you must teach. Be forewarned: No amount of reading up will help you when that classroom bell tolls.
At Teach in
Paradise
a large portion of your time is spent teaching,
planning for and reflecting on your lessons, and
giving feedback on observed lessons from fellow
trainees. You’ll teach a broad range of learners
from adults to young learners increasing your
flexibility and desirability in the job market.
Your teaching practice with Young Learners is within an orphanage and the Adult Learners are less wealthy ethnic minorities. Teaching practice is both authentic but is for the benefit of local people and charitable
organizations by giving them a chance to learn. You don't need to be a genius or rich. All you need is a little patience and some free time to make a world of difference.
Watch professional
teachers at work.
Our trainees experience observing experienced
teachers first. This opportunity to watch
teachers at work in real life classrooms allows
you to see how the job is done professionally,
gives you practical ways of using our teaching
methodology and enables you to apply these
approaches in your own classroom.
Our methodologies are
the latest and the greatest.
We use the most current methods and resources
available, continually updating our course to
add new approaches found in the field of
teaching English. Our ongoing research
constantly brings fresh ideas into our classes,
inspiring our trainees to develop their own
methods that will help their learners succeed.
We dispel your public speaking fears.
We understand that for some people, just the
thought of standing in front of a large group of
people may cause anxiety. That’s why we provide
the best coaching and the most in-classroom
practice, making your first jump into the
classroom less daunting and more comfortable.
All
you need to know about grammar when you don't
know grammar.
Many new teachers feel they don’t have the
knowledge of how English grammar really works.
We teach you the necessary points but also give
you skills in responding to your students
grammar and structure questions in an
interesting, fun way. No need to freeze or try
to bluff your way through a potentially
uncomfortable situation.
English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
Teachers find themselves in a wide variety of
classroom environments. Our techniques and
principles will help you deal with most
situations. We cover the categories such as
Business English and Young Learners to prepare
you for the different types of learners you may
face and allow you to adapt your teaching style
appropriately and professionally.
No final exam!
There is no final test as your progress is
continually monitored throughout the course.
Most emphasis is placed on your teaching
practice, your improvements in the classroom
setting and your ability discover your own
techniques and ideas.
